A few years back, I was in a checkout line at a local drugstore. There were a couple of kids in front of me and they were going through their pockets for some additional change to make their purchase. I reached into my pocket and handed the cashier enough to cover the entire purchase for the kids. Just spent a great weekend celebrating my parent’s 50th anniversary. What a wonderful reminder of what’s important during this Holiday season. We’ve been teaching our chilren how to be more giving and respectful of the gifts they receive throughout the year. After receiving close to $85 dollars from various friends and family during the holiday season, our six year old son, Peter, decided that there were others that are far more needy than he is and so decided to donate the entire amount to charity. It went to My Two Front Teeth, an organization that fulfills children’s wishes every year. We couldn’t be more proud of him.
